Is Bollywood looking for YOU?

Mumbai, September 22, 2008: For those who have gazed longingly at the big screen, convinced they
ought to be there with their names up in lights, here’s a chance to win that big ticket to stardom.

ZoOm, India’s premier destination for Bollywood content, is set to change the rules of reality television with Idea Bollywood Club, a new show focused on the ultimate destination for the crème de la crème of the entertainment industry to meet, greet and party. ZoOm has leveraged YouTube™, the world’s largest online video community that allows people to discover, watch and share originally created videos, to create a platform for aspiring stars to showcase their talent and catch the attention of the film fraternity and both ZoOm’s and YouTube’s massive audiences.

For the first time on Indian television, YouTube will be used to tap into a huge audience, enticing talented youth to take their shot at stardom. The performances will vary with every episode, to include dancing, dramatic acting, comedy, singing, even action. It will give viewers a variety of acts to look forward to, as well as differentiate the show from other single talent shows.
Sameer Pitalwalla, Head, Digital, ZoOm, says “Idea Bollywood Club gives strugglers a platform to break into Bollywood. YouTube has a huge community of contributors wishing to gain an audience to showcase their talents. This initiative blends both our strengths and offers strugglers that coveted window of opportunity.”
"India has always had a rich theatrical tradition which continues to be expressed by our community of local YouTube users. We are extremely happy to be working with ZoOm on this initiative in order to provide our users with an opportunity to showcase their talent and be discovered," said Gautam Anand, Head of Content Partnerships- APAC, YouTube.
ZoOm will use its strength as one of the most popular Indian content providers on YouTube and leverage its audience and network, to attract talent for Idea Bollywood Club and give aspirants a chance to meet and greet Bollywood's finest.

To participate, all people need to do is film their talent and upload a maximum 10 minute video to the specially created page for Idea Bollywood Club http://www.youtube.com/bollywoodclub on YouTube.
The videos should feature a maximum 10-minute clip, accompanied by a 15-second introduction. Participants should be mindful of appropriate language and topics in order to qualify for a chance at showcasing their particular talent on Idea Bollywood Club. Entries will be open until December 31, 2008.
